On 17 June 2026, in Nyaung Pin Gyi Taw village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped 4 bombs on the village at around 12:40 pm. Democratic Voice of Burma and Irrawaddy reported that 5 civilians, including a 35-year-old pregnant woman and her 2-year-old daughter, were killed and 2 others were injured. Shwe Phee Myay News Agency, The Voice of Chinland - VOC, Radio Free Asia and Network Media Group reported that 4 civilians were killed. Myanmar Pressphoto Agency reported that 3 civilian women were killed. Fatalities coded as 3, using the lowest estimate.
