On 15 June 2026, in Kaing Ywar village (Shwegu township, Bhamo district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped about 30 bombs on the gold mines with a jet fighter in the morning. More than 20 civilians were injured. The Myanmar military conducted another airstrike and dropped 2 bombs at around 5:00 pm. Casualties unknown.
