On 18 June 2026, mortar shells of unknown origin landed near Government School Attaullah Noorar and along the Baka Khel and Hani Khel roads in Bannu District (Bannu, KPK). The shells struck vacant land and open areas, causing no casualties or reported damage. The source of the shelling could not be determined, although similar incidents have previously occurred in the context of clashes between militants and military forces. There were no casualties.
