Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist in Kano, Recover Weapons and Items

Troops of the 3 Brigade Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected terrorist during a raid operation in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 10:30 p.m. on June 21 when troops deployed in Dambatta stormed Konan Dumawa village following intelligence reports.
According to the sources, the suspect was apprehended during the raid, while troops also recovered several weapons and items from the scene.
The recovered items include one Dane gun, one locally fabricated pistol, one locally made revolver-type weapon, four cartridges, three knives, two mobile phones, two scissors, one identity card, one locally made charm, and two ATM cards.
The sources said the suspect is currently in military custody and is undergoing further action as investigations continue.
Military authorities stated that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to rid communities of criminal elements and prevent terrorist infiltration and violent crime in Kano State and adjoining areas.
They added that troops remain committed to sustaining intelligence-led operations aimed at enhancing security across the region.
