On 13 June 2026, around 2:30 am Muscat time, suspected Iranian forces (coded as IRGC by default) launched 1 one-way drone that directly impacted the port bow of an unspecified tanker in the Strait of Hormuz, 6nm east of Oman (coded to the Coast of Kumzar) (Khasab, Musandam). There were no casualties or environmental impact. The tanker continued to its next port of call. The identity of the ship remained undisclosed at the time of the incident, but some sources claimed it was a Hong Kong-flagged tanker. This took place amid the U.S./Israel-Iran conflict and a naval standoff and reciprocal blockade between the U.S. and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
