On 17 June 2026, a member of the Saravan Border Regiment was killed by the explosion of an IRGC-planted landmine while monitoring the border area of Saravan (Saravan, Sistan and Baluchestan). The IRGC had planted mines in the Baluchestan border areas without warning signs, and the victim unintentionally triggered the mine.
