The occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was left without external power supply on June 20 for the twentieth time since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Source: Ministry of Energy, Energoatom Details: It is noted that due to the military actions of the Russian Federation, the station lost power supply from the Ferosplavna-1 power line (330 kV). After the incident, emergency diesel generators automatically started up to provide backup power supply for cooling the reactor core and maintaining other vital nuclear safety functions at the facility. Updated: Energoatom reported that at 17:50, external power supply to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP was restored. Currently, the station's own needs are provided by an overhead 330 kV power line.
