IED event in Colombia on Mon 22nd June 2026

The #OperationalStrength allowed the Colombian Army (@COL_EJERCITO) to seize a powerful shipment of weapons and drones belonging to the Jaime Martínez residual group in Yumbo, #ValleDelCauca. The shipment was destined for the department of #Guaviare, where it was intended to reinforce the criminal activities of the Armando Ríos residual group in eastern Colombia. During the military operation, 26 rifles of various types, approximately 300 magazines, 6,300 rounds of ammunition, nearly 300 grenades for mounting on drones, and 7 drones were seized. These items were intended for use in criminal actions against the security forces and the civilian population.
