Police Rescue Abducted Victims, Arrest Three Suspects in Ogun

By: Zagazola Makama

The Ogun State Police Command has rescued two abducted victims and arrested three suspects in connection with the crime in Oja-Odan area of the state.

Police sources said the incident was reported at about 2200 hours on June 20 by a resident, Mrs. Abosede Bakare, who informed officers that some unidentified men had forcibly abducted Alabi Moses from the Apetu area of Oja-Odan.

According to the report, the abductors arrived in two white Lexus vehicles and whisked the victim to an unknown destination.

Upon receiving the distress report, police operatives attempted to reach the victim through his mobile phone but received no response.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Oja-Odan Division, immediately mobilised a team of detectives and launched a search operation which led them to Ilaro, where the victim, Alabi Moses, and another individual identified as Sunday Olatunji were found.

The victims were rescued with various wounds and bruises allegedly inflicted by their abductors.

The police subsequently arrested three suspects identified as Abdulwahab Ayomide, Adebayo Victor and Moses Agemo in connection with the incident.

A white Lexus vehicle believed to have been used in the operation was also recovered.

Police authorities said efforts were ongoing to apprehend other suspects who fled the scene, while investigations into the case continue.
