On the morning of June 13, when a military column emerging from Moe Bye town advanced westward and reached Lwe Yin village, Karenni joint revolutionary forces attacked and crushed them. No fewer than 15 junta soldiers were killed, and weapons and ammunition were seized along with the bodies of the deceased. It is known that the junta soldiers suffered a hard hit and fled back into Moe Bye town.
