One ‘high-value’ wanted terrorist, identified as Khalil, was killed when Security Forces (SFs) conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Gara Budha area of Tank District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on June 18, reports The Khyber Chronicles. Officials stated that the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of the wanted individual, who was actively involved in multiple serious acts of terrorism in the region. SFs further confirmed that Khalil was involved in several high-profile attacks against law enforcement personnel. He was allegedly implicated in the killing of two Police personnel in May and had also participated in the targeted killings of two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel who were off-duty and visiting their homes during the Eid holidays in June.
