On June 18, two gangsters, identified as Aryan and Sunny Mehra, who were involved in the June 13 shooting at Shri Kumar Medical Hall in Sector 11, Chandigarh, were injured in a Police encounter in Dhanas, Chandigarh, reports Babushahi. Both gangsters had earlier been arrested from Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and were brought to Chandigarh for further proceedings. The encounter took place when they attempted to flee from Police custody. Police teams retaliated during the incident, resulting in injuries to both accused. After the encounter, both were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 16, Chandigarh, for treatment. Further investigation is underway.
