Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Barabcha area of Dalbandin tehsil (revenue unit) in Chagai District of Balochistan on June 16, resulting in the recovery of a cache of modern foreign-origin weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials, reports The Khyber Chronicle. The operation was carried out following credible intelligence regarding the suspected movement of arms and explosives being transported from the Azhni area of Afghanistan toward Barabcha. Acting on the information, Security Forces (SFs) intercepted and recovered the consignment. A substantial quantity of arms and ammunition was seized, including two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), three submachine guns (SMGs), one AK-47 rifle, one M4 rifle, one MP5 submachine gun, two hand grenades, two detonating fuses, three UBGL rounds, and 846 rounds of assorted ammunition.
