A woman was killed while a child sustained injuries after mortar shells struck a residential complex in Kardegap area of Mastung District in Balochistan on June 15, reports The Balochistan Post. Residents said unidentified armed men, suspected to be Baloch insurgents, had earlier attacked a Security Forces (SFs) camp in the area, triggering an exchange of fire. Several mortar rounds were later reported to have landed on nearby homes. Officials have not commented on the reported civilian casualties, and the circumstances surrounding the shelling remain unclear. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident.
