According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan Security Forces (SFs) killed 21 militants belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), referred to by authorities as "Fitna al-Khawarij", during Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) conducted over the preceding 72 hours in the Miranshah area and surrounding localities of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province, reports Dawn. The deceased included four alleged ring leaders identified as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan, who were reportedly wanted in multiple attacks involving the killing of SF personnel and civilians. ISPR stated that the latest operations raised the total number of militants killed to 48 since the counter-terrorism campaign began last week. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, while sanitisation operations continued to eliminate remaining militants in the area.
