IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khairo Khel Pacca, Lakki Marwat District area, Pakistan on Fri 12th June 2026

On June 12, two persons, including an eight-year-old child, identified as Asma Bibi, were killed, while several others were injured in a suicide attack near a mosque in Lakki Marwat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reports The Express Tribune. A statement from the Rescue 1122 said: "A suicide blast was reported near a mosque in Khairo Khel Pacca village. As a result of the blast, eight-year-old Asma Bibi and 25-year-old Asad Ali were martyred while several others were injured." A police official said on condition of anonymity that preliminary details suggested the attacker was attempting to enter the mosque during Friday prayer but failed to reach inside and detonated explosives outside.
