On June 12, a live artillery shell was recovered from an agricultural field along the International Border (IB) in Chalyari village of Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Greater Kashmir. According to reports, a farmer spotted the unexploded shell while working in his field and immediately informed the police. Security forces, including police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, rushed to the spot and secured the area. A bomb disposal squad was later called in and shifted the shell to a safe location, where it was successfully defused following standard safety procedures, officials added.
