On June 11, a local Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ‘commander’, Abu Bakr, along with several of his associates, was killed in an airstrike targeting Khwarij hideouts in the Jani Khel area of Bannu District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reports The Khyber Chronicle. Officials have not yet released any official statement regarding the number of terrorists eliminated or the extent of damage caused to the hideouts.
