Members of the National Guard and the Mexican Army dealt a logistical blow to the criminal structure of " Los Cabrera ," an operational faction of the Sinaloa Cartel , by seizing a large -caliber arsenal , illicit substances, vehicles, and ballistic protection equipment in the state of Durango.

According to unofficial reports, the military intervention was concentrated in the vicinity of the town of Práxedis Guerrero . This same town was the scene of an intense armed confrontation between gunmen from the Los Cabrera cartel and members of the National Guard just last June 3, which prompted increased patrols and intelligence operations in the region.

The breakdown of the war materiel and tactical equipment that remained under the custody of the federal forces comprises the following items:

A high-powered Barrett-type .50 caliber rifle.
Eight machine guns and 22 long firearms.
Three handguns, two self-contained grenade launchers and one grenade launcher attachment.
1,174 magazines and 36,488 usable cartridges of various calibers.
59 tactical helmets, 10 plate carrier vests and eight ballistic plates.
Six compact cars and one quad bike.
Various doses of substances with the characteristics of narcotics.

During the strategic deployment of public security institutions, no arrests or casualties were reported among civilian or military personnel. All weapons, ammunition, vehicles, and drugs seized at the site were transferred and placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Prosecutor, assigned to the Attorney General's Office, which will continue the corresponding investigations to determine the origin of the items and compile the federal case file for violations of the Federal Law on Firearms and Explosives.
