A joint operation between the Sinaloa Special Operations Group ( GOES ) and the National Guard resulted in the release of a kidnapping victim and the arrest of three suspected hitmen . The public security actions took place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the Los Ángeles neighborhood of Culiacán, Sinaloa .
The operation began when law enforcement officers were conducting preventative patrols in the area and noticed a motorcyclist making evasive and erratic maneuvers upon seeing the approaching patrol cars. Due to his suspicious behavior, the officers initiated a perimeter search of the area to locate him.
During the tactical search, security personnel detected two heavily armed men attempting to escape by moving across the rooftops of nearby houses. Federal and state agents immediately expanded the operational perimeter to pursue them and cut off their escape routes.

The freed victim received initial medical attention and specialized support from law enforcement agencies to ensure her physical and psychological well-being.
