Air Delivered event in Kirnya area, Mali on Mon 15th June 2026

The General Staff of the Armed Forces communicates on a series of targeted strikes against armed terrorist groups in several localities.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces informs the national public that, as part of the ongoing offensive reconnaissance missions across the entire national territory, the air vectors of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) successfully carried out, on Monday, June 15, 2026, a series of targeted strikes in several localities.

A first series of strikes targeted a hideout of armed terrorist groups, 4 km northwest of the village of Kirnya, in the Mopti region. A tricycle loaded with fuel cans, departing from the village toward a wooded area, had made it possible to formally identify said terrorist hideout. The target was successfully addressed.

In the same area, the air vectors detected another hideout of armed terrorist groups located approximately 600 meters northwest of the village of Kirnya. The site housed a large tent under vegetative cover as well as a pickup truck parked nearby.

A second series of strikes made it possible to completely destroy this terrorist hideout.

The toll at this level reports about ten terrorists neutralized, several logistical materials destroyed, as well as the aforementioned pickup truck.
