On 9 June 2026, three suspected Malay Muslim separatists detonated explosive devices inside the Pattani Green biomass power plant in Moo 1, Lipa Sa-Ngo, Nong Chik (Pattani). The separatists, who wore masks and carried firearms, explosives, and fuel containers, forced security guards to leave the premises before triggering three explosions. There were no casualties.
