On 12 June 2026, Russian forces (units of the 'South' group using operational-tactical aviation, combat UAVs, missile forces, and artillery) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment near Starodubivka, Donetsk. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: a German-made Leopard-2 tank, three armored combat vehicles, 13 vehicles, three field artillery pieces and up to 115 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Mykolaivka, Druzhkivka, Starodubivka and Pyskunivka [Russian MoD reported 115 fatalities.
