Air Delivered event in Venezuela, Bolivarian Republic of on Tue 9th June 2026

On 9 June 2026, in Las Claritas (Bolivar), military officers and the DGCIM undertook an operation in the mining areas of Las Claritas, in particular, in Kilometers 33 and 88. Armed helicopters flew over the area and officers wearing black patrolled the streets. The purpose of the operation was to kill the leaders of several criminal groups operating in the area. Witnesses claimed that the military forces bombarded the houses of gang leaders. Unofficial reports claimed that the romantic partner of the leader of the Tren de Aragua was killed, but this has not been confirmed. The officers demanded that the miners leave the area. Many left the town on motorcycles and trucks. Anonymous witnesses also claimed that the military arrested civilians that were not gang members. No fatalities have been confirmed.
