On 12 July 2021, Turkish army warplanes carried out airstrikes against PKK forces in Kuniska and Kurojehro areas (Kurdish name) in Zap region (Al Amadiya district) of Duhok. HPG (PKK) reported that no casualties occurred in the attacks. Also on the same day, Turkish sources reported that 2 PKK militants were killed or injured during the airstrikes in Zap region, but this was not confirmed. Fatalities coded to 0.
