On 11 June 2026, Iraqi F-16 fighter jets conducted two airstrikes targeting an ISIL cell in an area south of Buhriz district (Diyala), based on intelligence information and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command. This was followed by the deployment of ground forces to inspect the site. The strike resulted in the killing of 2 ISIL militants. 2 fatalities.
