On 6 June 2026, suspected KCP cadres hurled a hand-grenade which exploded at the residence of a former INC minister at Tentha Khunou in Kiyamgei village (Imphal West, Manipur) damaging a two-wheeler vehicle parked in the courtyard and a portion of the walls, amidst ongoing violence between Meitei and Tribal communities in the state. Warning letters under the name of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) was found at the location later. There were no casualties.
