On 6 June 2026, according to CENTCOM, US forces conducted airstrikes on the Islamic Republic's coastal surveillance radar sites in Garuk (Sirik, Hormozgan). The strikes were in response to 4 Iranian suicide drones launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. This event occurred following the ceasefire agreed between the US, Israel and Iran on 7 April. Casualties unknown. US drones also struck a telecommunications tower in the area with 2 projectiles. In response, the IRGC Aerospace Forces launched ballistic missile attacks on the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait and the US Navy's Fifth Fleet facilities in Bahrain.
