On 9 June 2026, Pakistani military forces carried out airstrikes on two civilian homes in Manah village of Spera district, Khost, bordering Pakistan's North Waziristan district (KPK), killing nine civilians, including one woman and eight children, and wounding ten others, including one woman and eight children, and destroying two houses. Taliban claimed that as a result of Pakistani airstrikes in Khost, Kunar and Paktika (coded separately), 13 civilians, including 11 children and one woman, were killed and 14 others, including women and children, were wounded. However, Pakistan claimed that they targeted hideouts, camps, a training center, an ammunition depot, and a facility belonging to TTP in Afghanistan, killing 26 members of the group in response to 'recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan.' UNAMA confirmed the deaths of 13 civilians, including women and children, and the wounding of 10 others as a result of Pakistan's airstrikes in the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika. Total 9 fatalities.
