In Namttu Township, northern Shan State, two men from Panlong Village went to blast fish in Nam Myee Creek, where one of them stepped on a tripwire mine and died, a person close to the deceased told Shwe Phee Myay.

On June 5, around 11:00 AM, a 30-year-old man named Maung Aik Kyan was killed when he stepped on a tripwire mine while heading to Nam Myee Creek to blast fish.
