An armed attack took place on the streets of Rosendo Avilés, between 25 and 26, in the southwest of Guayaquil, Guayas province, Ecuador. Gunmen opened fire on a group of people who were gathered on the street watching the Ecuador national team's World Cup match. The incident left at least two people dead and several others injured. Authorities are investigating the case.
