A musician from the group “Emblema Sierreño” was stabbed to death by his own bandmate after an argument at the end of a private event in Reynosa, Tamaulipas .
The victim was identified as Félix Javier Calero , 37. After the attack, his colleagues took him to a hospital; however, the stab wounds proved fatal.
According to preliminary information, Félix Javier Calero was originally from Juventino Rosas, Guanajuato , and played the tuba in the regional group in Tamaulipas.
Initial investigations indicate that, after the performance in the Hacienda las Bugambilias neighborhood , as the payment was being divided, an argument broke out between the victim and a guitarist from the band. During the altercation, the guitarist attacked him with a knife.
The alleged assailant fled the scene and his whereabouts are currently unknown. Police officers went to the hospital to gather information about the incident and begin the corresponding investigation.
So far, authorities in Tamaulipas have not revealed the name of the gang member who allegedly stabbed his companion, nor have they reported the reason for the argument that ended in the attack.
