On the evening of June 15, the Russians launched a drone strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv — the strike occurred on the territory of the zoo.
This was announced by the city mayor Igor Terekhov.
According to him, there are damaged enclosures, and information has also been received about injured animals.
The press service of the Kharkiv City Council reported that the Russian "Shahed" hit between the vivarium, where rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals live, the administrative building and the Elephant House. Currently, the animals are being evacuated to safe premises, and experts are inspecting the area. According to the City Council, all large animals are unharmed.
The Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service reported that several animals were killed as a result of a Russian drone strike. The attack caused a fire in one of the enclosures, which was extinguished by rescuers. The animals were evacuated to a safe place.
The Russian Federation struck with drones the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv, reported the head of the OVA Synegubov.
One hit was recorded on the territory of the zoo, causing a fire. Also, debris from the drone fell onto the roadway.
