IED event in Jammu & Kashmir, Pulwama area, India on Wed 14th July 2021

Three militants, including one Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) ‘commander’ identified as Aijaz alias Abu Huraira from Pakistan, and two local militants, were killed in an encounter during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) with Security Forces (SFs) at Pulwama Town in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on July 14 (today), reports Greater Kashmir. SFs have recovered incriminating material including arms and ammunition from the location. The search operations are still continuing in the area.|Border Security Force (BSF) personnel spotted and fired at a drone at Sai village located along the International Border (IB) in Arnia sector in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on July 13, reports Daily Excelsior.|Security Forces (SFs) detected and defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) found near railway track in Damjan area of Mir Bazaar of Qazigund in Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on July 13, reports Daily Excelsior.|Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) ‘chief’ Syed Salahuddin’s sons identified as Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yusuf, who were terminated from the Government services by Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Government on July 10, had met hawala operators in Saudi Arabia and London for funding terror activities in India, reports Daily Excelsior. Both of them were in direct contact with Nazir Ahmed Qureshi, who originally hails from Baramulla District of J&K but was running hawala syndicate from Saudi Arabia and London to finance terror activities in India.
