On June 12, two Policemen, Sub-Inspector Shamsuzzoha, 34, and Constable Mohammad Hridoy Hossain, 20, both posted at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, were injured after being stabbed by suspected muggers during a chase in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area in Dhaka, reports The Daily Star. According to Police, three unidentified muggers attempted to flee on a battery-run rickshaw after committing a mugging. A police patrol team chased them on motorcycles and managed to intercept them, and then one of the suspects stabbed the two policemen with a sharp weapon. Police detained two of the muggers in connection with the incident.
