On June 9, Badal Morol, President of the Baruipara Union Krishak Dal, associated with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) of Sadar Upazila (Sub-District), was killed in an attack by miscreants in Fakirhat Upazila (Sub-District) of Bagerhat District, reports Prothom Alo. BNP leaders have blamed Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) for the killing, calling it a political and hegemonic act.
