Two terrorists were killed on June 8 during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Security Forces (SFs) in the Garah Madah area of Daraban tehsil (revenue unit) in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports Dawn. According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), SFs launched the operation after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. The ISPR said the SFs effectively engaged the terrorists during the operation, killing two of them. A search and clearance operation was launched to eliminate any remaining terrorists, the statement added.
