SAA event in Manipur, Waithou Sangomsang, Thoubal District area, India on Fri 5th June 2026

On June 5, Manipur Police arrested two active cadres of Revolutionary People’s Front/People’s Liberation Army (RPF/PLA) identified as Sanasam Sanamatum Meitei alias Tompok alias Oneman (32), a resident of Wangoo Laipham Chithek Chingya Awang in Kakching District, and Yengkokpam Premchand Singh alias Chingsanglakpa (26), a resident of Athokpam Sandhabung in Thoubal District, from Waithou Sangomsang near the Stone Crusher area in Lilong Police Station (PS) in Thoubal District of Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. 01 (one) two-wheeler bearing registration no. MN01L8210 was recovered from their possession.|On June 5, Manipur Police recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from the stretch between Border Pillar 72 and Border Pillar 73 (12 km South of Chonjang COB) along IMB (Indo-Myanmar Border) under Moreh Police Station (PS) in Tengnoupal District of Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. The recoveries included 01 (one) no. of country made lathode gun, 01 (one) no. of 9mm pistol with magazine, 01 (one) 22 pistol USA with magazine, 04 (four) Radio Set, and 04 (four) IEDs (remnants).
