On June 4, an extortion-related firing incident was reported at the residence of Cricket Canada president Arvinder Khosa in the South Newton neighbourhood of Surrey, British Columbia (BC), Canada, reports Radio Canada. Surrey Police Service (SPS) launched an investigation after unidentified assailants opened fire at the residence early Thursday morning, marking the second such firing incident at the property since May 20, 2026. The house was occupied at the time of both incidents; however, no injuries were reported. SPS confirmed that its extortion response team has taken over the investigation, citing prior threats and suspected organised crime links. Investigators are examining possible connections involving individuals linked to extortion networks and alleged gang associations.
