On Thursday, June 11, in the Zavodsky district of Zaporizhzhia, during a search of the residence of a person involved in criminal proceedings, a man stabbed three police officers. In response, law enforcement officers used service weapons, as a result of which the attacker died.

Verbatim : "Today, June 11, at around 3:40 p.m. in the Zavodsky district of Zaporizhia, an armed attack on police officers occurred during a sanctioned search at the residence of a person involved in criminal proceedings."

Details : Law enforcement officers noted that during the investigation, a man suddenly attacked law enforcement officers, used tear gas, and stabbed three police officers.

"Despite legal demands to stop the unlawful actions, the attacker continued to offer armed resistance and created an immediate threat to the life and health of police officers. To avert mortal danger, one of the police officers used a service firearm," the report says.

According to law enforcement, the attacker died as a result of his injuries.

Three police officers with knife wounds have been hospitalized. Medics are providing them with all necessary assistance.

An investigative and operational group, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation and other specialized services are working at the scene. A set of priority investigative actions is being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
