On Thursday, June 11, in Uzhhorod, an armed man took his wife and child hostage and barricaded himself in the house. During a special operation, police special forces freed the hostages and detained the attacker.

Verbatim : "Today at around 4:40 p.m., the police received a report that in one of the neighborhoods of Uzhhorod, a man was threatening his wife with a gun. The complainant heard the sounds of gunshots."

Details : It is reported that when police arrived, the man barricaded himself in the house where his wife and 5-year-old child were staying with him. He did not make contact with the police.

Special forces of the Rapid Action Corps (RAC) conducted a special operation and detained the attacker.

"The child and the woman were provided with a safe exit from the house. Currently, their lives and health are not in danger," the report says.
