SAA event in Guadalupe, Agua Nueva area, Mexico on Thu 11th June 2026

A man was seriously injured after being shot by suspected motorcyclists in the early hours of Thursday in the Agua Nueva neighborhood, in the municipality of Guadalupe.

The attack was reported at the intersection of Estela Arizpe and Hermanos Larralde streets, where emergency services and police corporations mobilized after receiving a report of a person injured by a firearm.

According to preliminary information, the victim was identified as Nestor, 30 years old, who was outside a residence when he was allegedly intercepted by two men traveling on a motorcycle.

Reports from the scene indicated that the man was chased by the assailants before they shot him repeatedly. During the attack, he sustained at least two gunshot wounds to the abdomen and was left critically injured on the street.

After hearing the explosions and realizing that the man was injured, a family member requested support from the authorities through the emergency numbers, which generated a rapid mobilization of police officers and rescue teams.

Paramedics arrived at the scene to provide pre-hospital care and subsequently transferred him urgently to a local hospital, where he remains hospitalized under medical observation due to the severity of his injuries.

Meanwhile, police officers cordoned off the area to preserve possible evidence related to the attack, while residents of the area remained attentive to the deployment of the authorities.

Personnel from the State Attorney General's Office went to the scene to carry out the corresponding procedures, collect evidence and begin investigations to establish the motive for the attack and identify the alleged perpetrators.
