Members of the Sinaloa Special Operations Group, in coordination with the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and the Navy, repelled an armed aggression in the town of Las Bebelamas de Romero, Culiacán, Sinaloa, on June 10, 2026.

The pursuit began in the vicinity of the town of Carboneras when the uniformed personnel detected armed civilians aboard two pickup trucks, who fled toward Las Tapias while throwing spike strips to stop the patrol vehicles before initiating the shootout.

After the confrontation, the operational forces neutralized the units and deployed a perimeter search in the underbrush, locating one assailant killed at the crime scene.

The total inventory of the seized items following the military and police clash consists of:

- 2 M4 rifles

- 12 magazines

- 1 Nissan Frontier pickup truck with a theft report

- 1 Jeep Wrangler pickup truck
