SAA event in Sinaloa, Culiacán, Costa Rica area, Mexico on Wed 10th June 2026

🇲🇽 | Elements of the National Guard located an abandoned vehicle containing weaponry in the vicinity of the Costa Rica district in Culiacán, Sinaloa, this Wednesday, June 10. The discovery was recorded during the preventive deployments against organized crime that federal agencies maintain in the state.

Federal public security forces did not report any persons detained at this operational point, nor did they specify whether the location of the motor vehicle stemmed from a surveillance patrol or an anonymous citizen complaint.

At the discovery site, our reporter in the area confirmed the presence of patrol cars securing the perimeter while the truck was being towed. The seized inventory consists of five long arms, 25 magazines, 570 rounds, seven tactical vests, 12 ballistic plates, and two containers with tire-spike strips.

The confiscated items were placed at the disposal of the public prosecutor's office to initiate the investigations. In separate incidents in Culiacán, the prior arrest of a man with a grenade launcher was reported in the municipal seat, and the seizure of two rifles, 1,738 rounds, and three vests in the town of Quilá by Navy personnel.
