A man ended up hospitalized with knife wounds after a fight in the Los Cedros subdivision in Monclova, where his own wife allegedly injured him during a heated argument inside the family home, a situation that is already being investigated by the State Attorney General's Office .

The injured man was identified as Javier Mata Villanueva, 27 years old , who was admitted to the IMSS Clinic 7 Hospital with wounds on his left arm and injuries to his earlobe, which were classified as serious .

According to initial reports, the man arrived at his home apparently intoxicated , and had also previously been involved in a traffic accident in the area, where he allegedly continued on his way despite the incident.

Once inside the home, an argument reportedly broke out with his wife, identified as Ivón de la Rosa, after she noticed his intoxicated state and the crash in which he was allegedly involved.

According to the line of investigation, during the argument the man allegedly tried to assault the woman, at which point she allegedly defended herself using a knife , causing the injuries that later resulted in her emergency transfer to the hospital.

Authorities say the woman is already in custody and at the disposal of the State Attorney General's Office , while her legal status is being determined.
