The Sinaloa Public Security Secretariat assures that the explosive devices that have been located in different municipalities are used by organized crime groups to disarm the opposing group and not to cause panic among the citizens.

It should be remembered that for months it has been common to see reports of abandoned explosive devices in different parts of the state, often in public places; however, the authorities have not identified this as a direct act against the general population.

Even so, the Ministry of Security acknowledges that there is a clear increase in the use of these devices; even on May 15, threats of explosives were reported in three different municipalities:

- Meanwhile, in Navolato, in the community of Alfredo Valdez Montoya, the inter-institutional group secured a reported explosive device.
