The dissemination of an alleged threat of armed attack prompted the immediate activation of security protocols in the municipality of Cuatro Ciénegas, where educational authorities and police corporations decided to act preventively to protect the student community of CBTa No. 22.
The situation generated concern among parents, students, and teachers after an anonymous post appeared on a local Facebook page warning of an alleged shooting that would occur on Monday morning.
Given the uncertainty generated by the message, the school administration decided to temporarily suspend classes, prioritizing the safety of students and staff while authorities verify the authenticity of the threat.
The decision was supported by members of the Security Council , management staff, and representatives of the Parents' Association, who agreed that it was necessary to avoid any situation that could put the educational community at risk.
Through an official statement issued on June 7 , the institution reported that the Security Protocol in High School Campuses was launched, a mechanism designed to respond to situations that represent possible risks for students, teachers and administrative staff.
According to the information provided, the message spread on social media indicated that the alleged attack would occur around 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, a situation that raised alerts and prompted the immediate intervention of the corresponding authorities.
It was also reported that the case was reported to both the Municipal Public Security and the Cyber Police, agencies that are working to identify the person or persons responsible for making the publication.
For his part, the inspector of the Criminal Investigation Agency, Roberto Torres , ordered an immediate investigation to try to locate whoever spread the threat.
The official stated that the report was being treated with the seriousness that such situations warrant, and that the corresponding operations and preventative measures will be implemented. However, preliminarily, authorities believe that everything points to a false threat or a tasteless joke, although the investigation will continue until the origin of the message is fully clarified.
