On 5 June 2026, in Yone Pin Kwet village (Natmauk township, Magway district, Magway region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike with an aircraft from the Magway airbase on the village monastery, without any active clashes in the area, and dropped a 500-pound bomb and fired rockets. The airstrike injured a 60-year-old Buddhist monk and damaged the monastic buildings.
