On 1 June 2026, in Si Poke Ta Yar village (Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted drone strikes on the village monastery using four suicide drones at around 12:20 pm. 2 civilians (a 70-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman) who were cleaning the monastery dining hall were killed. Some pagodas and the monastery dining hall were also damaged. 2 fatalities.
