On 30 May 2026, in Wae Daw Kho village (coded as Kyaukkyi) (Kyaukkyi township, Nyaunglebin district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military troops based at the Light Infantry Battalion 264 fired 155mm heavy weapons into the village. The shells exploded inside the village and killed a family of three (9-year-old child, 45-year-old mother and 47-year-old father). The explosion also injured an 18-year-old woman, and destroyed one house. 3 fatalities.
